Education

At the King’s Village, we’re presently teaching over 190 pupils who are aged between 4 and 10.

We’ll be teaching the children up until the age of 16 – taking in a new intake of 30 pupils every year. Eventually the school will serve 330 pupils.

Education, particularly of girls, is a major route out of poverty.

The King’s School employs Ghanaian teachers, who also undertake home visits.

For local residents, the cost of sending a child to the school amounts to just £1 per term. The shortfall in funding is provided by UK based sponsors, who ‘sponsor’ individual children and are given regular updates on their progress.
