Five year old Emmanuel Idi was one of the first pupils at the King’s School. He was doing brilliantly – winning an end of term award. He contracted malaria and visited a local unlicensed drug store… the only place he might get medicine. He was prescribed an adult dose of Cloroquine… it was too much for his young body, he died shortly afterwards. The new medical facilities will help prevent tragedies of this kind.
